Terms and Conditions of Sale / Site Trading

 

1. The Chappell Group is a trading name of the Chappell Group and is now referred to as ‘the company’.

2. It is the intention of the company / seller that all these terms and conditions are in force between the company and the buyer at all times. By purchasing from the company the buyer agrees in full to this terms and conditions, of which a full copy can be supplied at anytime by e-mail or hard copy.

3. The company will only sell to the buyers within the United Kingdom, we do not sell to any other part of the world.

4. The title of goods remain the property of Chappell group / company until such time that full payment has being received and cleared through the UK banking system, non / late payment will entitle the company to retrieve such goods and costs added to the buyers account.

5. If a customer falls into liquidation prior to making full payment goods must be returned in full to the company without delay.

6. Trading of all goods will be in pounds sterling (GBP) only Euros at the correct rate will be accepted and no other currency. Euro exchange will be at the current rate as displayed by the Alliance & Leicester bank at the time of payment and so may change slightly to the time the order is placed.

7. Goods are released on the understanding that buyers agree to these terms and conditions and that all payments will be met at agreed time scales for account holders, non account holders will be required to forward full payment before goods are dispatched.

8. By accepting delivery you are also signing to agree to these terms and conditions.

9. Any goods or services that are deemed as a ‘special order’ are non-refundable unless items are found to be faulty - all these items will be inspected to discover full faults before refunds are given.

10. Every product sold by the company is covered by a minimum of a 12 month manufactures warranty, some of our products carry between 2-5 years, please ask for full details at time of order, extended warranties may be available at a set charge.

11. To return any goods please contact customer support on the number shown on your invoice before sending, all returns need to have a RTB (return to base) number, before goods can be accepted back into our workshops, items returned without an RTB number will be rejected at source, the company cannot be held responsible for any loss of or damage to such goods.

12. All good’s are delivered by Royal mail parcel force (sign for) or special delivery unless an install has been requested, it is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure goods are signed for, returned unsigned goods will incur and admin charge of £15.00 plus any future re-delivery charges. Install items will be delivered by the engineer, at an agreed date & time, if no access to premises at the agreed date / time will incur and admin charge equal to two hours of the engineer’s time (currently £25 per hour) plus any re-delivery time agreed.

13. Invoices will be dispatched at the same time as the goods (unless a written different agreement is in force), this will clearly show account details, amount payable and by when this amount is to be paid, late payments will incur an admin charge not more than £15 plus interest of 2% above the bank of England base rate per month on the total amount outstanding per month.

14. Re-issue of invoices or letters for overdue accounts may impose a charge of £10.00 to cover admin / paper and postage costs.

14.1 Any debts outstanding or invoices not paid when requested may be sold on to or authorised debt collection agency who may use county court action to recover their losses. All bad / outstanding debts are recorded on Experian - this may have an adverse affect on your credit rating.

15. All faults will be inspected and repaired or replaced by the company free of charge for all products that are still within their warranty period.

16. Cancellations & distance selling regulations 2000 apply only to consumer buyers who have purchased goods by using distance communications (telephone, order form or online), please note - they do not apply to business buyers, business names or consumers purchasing from non web site source, the regulations do not apply to goods which are classed as a ‘special order’.

17. Un-sealed software is not covered by the distance selling regulations 2000 - however the company may replace these items please call customer support for more details. Full details of the distance selling regulations are available from your local trading standards department.

18. All items purchased come with 7 days grace period, items may be returned in the time to us - the company will charge a re-stocking fee for all items returned to the value of £20.00 or 20% of the total value of the invoice - whichever is the greater.

19. All returned goods must be in the original packaging in mint condition and any free gifts returned with the products in full.

20. Items over 7 days from date of delivery cannot be returned without an RTB number see point 10.

21. Data recovery - whilst we offer this service we cannot guarantee and cannot be held responsible for any data lost or not recovered by normal means or otherwise.

22. Data recovery membership may be offered free at time of purchase - use of the system will incur normal membership charges per hour.
